Kris Austad
Project/Detailing Coordinator
Kris started detailing over 35 years ago as a summer job. Since then, he has worked in northern BC, Vancouver, Alberta, New York and now Vancouver Island. In an ever-changing field, he started drafting manually, then to Leroy stencils on mylar, MicroStation, AutoCAD, StruCad and Tekla Structures. As a project coordinator, Kris enjoys working with new teams of people from project to project, which have been all over Canada & the USA. From experience with coffee houses to 60-storey high rises, he feels all projects are unique and enjoys the challenge.
Kris enjoys travelling, photography, Italian cuisine and rock concerts.
