Niik recognizes and values the rich cultural and historical heritage of the Indigenous Peoples of British Columbia (BC). We acknowledge that the land on which our Fabrication Facility is located is on the traditional territory of the Indigenous Peoples of Canada. In particular, we acknowledge the Snuneymuxw First Nation (of the Coast Salish People), who have been stewards of this land for thousands of years.

As a responsible corporate citizen, our company will actively seek to engage with Indigenous Peoples in British Columbia in a spirit of mutual respect, trust, and understanding. We will work to create opportunities for meaningful consultation and collaboration. The following principles guide our company's Indigenous engagement policy:

• Respect for Indigenous Peoples' rights, cultures, and knowledge systems.
• Recognition of the unique relationship between Indigenous Peoples and the land.
• Commitment to open and transparent communication.
• Willingness to listen and learn from Indigenous communities.
• Acknowledgment of the historical and ongoing impacts of colonization and a commitment to reconciliation.

To implement this policy, our company will support and promote the economic, social, and cultural well-being of Indigenous peoples.

• Build and maintain positive and respectful relationships with Indigenous communities.
• Consult and collaborate with Indigenous Peoples on issues of mutual interest, including Industrial, Commercial and Institutional Design, Fabrication and Construction.
• Ensure meaningful and respectful engagement as early as possible with key Indigenous stakeholders, including Elders, knowledge keepers, and business leaders, to ensure that Indigenous Peoples' traditional knowledge, cultural practices, and values are respected and incorporated into our company's decision-making processes.
• Ensure that our employees receive training and education on Indigenous cultures, histories, and issues.
• To contribute to the process of reconciliation between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Peoples.
• Ensure that our policies and practices are consistent with the principles of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.
• Regularly review and evaluate our Indigenous engagement policy and practices to ensure that they are effective and responsive to the needs and interests of Indigenous communities.
